BIOGRAPHY

Eden Sekulović (1995) was born in London to a Montenegrin father and an Ethiopian mother. After childhood cello studies in Montenegro, she received advanced musical training at the Zürich University of the Arts under the guidance of Prof. Orfeo Mandozzi. She received additional inputs from Christian Proske, one of the solo cellists of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich. Throughout her musical studies she participated at many international festivals and youth orchestra academies.

As a prize-winning artist, Eden Sekulović attended masterclasses held by many prominent cellists such as Alexander Rudin, Troels Svane, Denis Shapovalov, Istvan Varga. She has performed internationally in various chamber music formations, collaborating with Rudolf Koelman, Gilles Apap and Orfeo Mandozzi and many others.

Her projects lead her to prestigious concert venues such as the Tonhalle Zürich, Berliner Philarmonie, Romanian Athenaeum, Herkulessaal, Teatro Nuovo di Ferrara  and the Harpa Concert Hall.

Besides performing the standard works of cello literature, Eden is keen on expanding her repertoire with less exposed pieces as well as transcribing music for cello.
